Description

The «Northern wind» album was conceived by Andrey Klimkovsky in 1986-1987. The first melodies were written while studying at the Moscow Planetarium and participating in the «Alrado» group. Observing his own maturation, changing life priorities of his friends, inevitable social transformations, the young musician creates a number of works of a philosophical orientation, thus asking himself the question — "Are we living right?" Some of those tunes were later lost, but in 2009 — 2010 Andrey Klimkovsky wrote new musical themes and finished the once conceived album.

We, the inhabitants of a northern country, where winter lasts more than half a year, and therefore more than half of our lives, often dream of warmth. I want the Sun, the joyful chirping of birds. I would fall into the grass, look at the clouds floating in the infinitely high blue sky and forget about the problems, just lie and do nothing ... Nothing ... In the opinion of many, this is happiness — harmony and self-sufficiency. There is no need for anything and you accept everything as it is.

But for some reason, for harmony with the World and accepting it as it was created, we sometimes need many prerequisites — a certain ambient temperature, a well-fed state of the body, in no way painful, soft grass without unnecessary harmful insects ... Often does this happen? — Rarely, and as a rule, for a very long ago — in childhood. If we think about it a little more, we will remember that in childhood we were not afraid of frost and cold wind — we also took it for granted and “as is”, and that is why we felt happier at any time of the year — both in winter and in summer.

I will tell you more, it is the need to “move” in the cold season that disperses the blood in us (literally and figuratively), makes us energetic, strong and, yes — just like that — happy — happy regardless of the conditions and situation. Later, having entered adulthood, we “wrapped” ourselves in an abundance of solidity, gravity, weariness from worries and from cares to be important and respected, well-fed and stylishly dressed. And we imperceptibly exchanged happiness and joy of the oncoming cold wind for these "new things".

The irony and annoyance lies in the fact that for some reason no one change all it back for you. And in order to get back at your disposal the childish ease of recovery, joy and happiness, you will have to work hard, and maybe even part with something — to throw out the superfluous from your head. However, if you are not afraid to take a step towards the Northern wind, it will become your ally, and together you will find what has been forgotten, lost.

As the ancients said — "Keep your feet warm and your head cool".
