Andrey klimkovsky is a Russian composer working in the electronic music space. Musical images he created — «Music of Celestial Spheres», «Starry Sky», «ALEALA» and «DreamOcean» have become classics of the genre, gaining fame both in Russia and abroad. The musician regularly gives spectacular live concerts and collaborates with many other representatives of the Russian electronic scene, leads a popular community about synthesizers and workstations, participates in astronomical expeditions and practices a healthy lifestyle.

Description

The maxi-single «Secrets of Mars» was recorded by Andrey Klimkovsky during the period [1996-1999] of work on the albums «We continue the search» and «Martian Live», and is based on the central composition of these two discs — «Secrets of Mars», written by the composer back in 1985th year.

By the day of the presentation of the two mentioned albums, the first version of the single contained only 4 tracks, which is considered normal for the world music industry, in the practice of which a single with one or two tracks is a common thing, but Andrey Klimkovsky remained dissatisfied with such a minimalistic edition, and therefore the single was released only in in the form of an audio cassette and was not reissued in CD format for a long time.

In 2002 Andrey Klimkovsky starts working on the single «Secrets of Mars» and announces its version 2.0. For the new version of the single, new compositions were written and the ones already included in the first version were partially reworked. However, this work was not completely completed, and some of the new topics remained behind the scenes, when in January 2004 the beta version of the maxi-single «Secrets of Mars» with a number of new improvements was published.

Subsequently, the “version 2.0 beta” mark was removed from the cover of the CD. This version, in which the single is now distributed, is considered basic. It includes one more track — a remastered version of the composition «Secrets of Mars», digitized from the master cassette in 1999 and underwent sound restoration.

At the moment, nothing is known about the possible future fate of the melodies intended for the new version of the single, but not imcluded in it.
