Mankind has stepped into space — feels confident in low Earth orbit, but dreams of more distant travels. The plans echo file_get_contents the colonization of the Moon and Mars. Prose goals — the development of mineral resources, the location of production (most likely — robotic). The presence of people at the stations will probably be long, But in every such project the possibility of returning to Earth is initially laid. Settlements on the moons of Jupiter and Saturn will remain within the framework of the same philosophy — the colonists will consider the Earth to be the home.
Only interstellar travel will destroy this pattern. And it's not about Einstein's Theory of Relativity, which does not allow technology to return expeditions back. Those who decide on interstellar flight must accept the fundamental universal truth — there can be no return. And we are not created in order to return somewhere.
As long as we live on Earth — captured by its gravity — many ideas of a retrograde nature live with us. We sometimes return to the past in memories, and someone, in all seriousness, would like to rewind time back. Nature took care of the impossibility of this in advance. But we continue to regret what once was. We visit places we once lived in, meet people with whom we have a common past, but not even the present, not to mention the future. All this greatly hinders our development. But we do not know about that.
Someday people will cross that evolutionary threshold when looking back at the past will lose all meaning. It will become clear that our path lies only forward, only into the future. Probably then the Universe will open us the “Stargate” so that we can reach the stars — first the closest, and then more and more distant.
None of the starship crews will ever see the Earth. First, because it is technically impossible. Then technology will return, but no one will need it.
